Well, this is the part where I get to tell you all about me. Otherwise known as the vanity or ego page.

I'll refrain from telling the complete story of me and stick with more recent history. And here's a photo of me (coming soon!) so I don't have to describe myself.

I graduated from the University of Arizona (GO WILDCATS!!!) in 1995. I still keep up with what's going on there and I'm a pretty rabid alumni fan; I've got more Wildcats stuff than I can keep track off. Even a couple of pieces of the old McHale floor. My experience there wasn't perfect, but I loved it and I love the school. Even spent a few years working for the college radio station. KAMP Student Radio, if I ever become a millionaire, you guys can count on more than a token donation.

When I'm not working I tend to stay relatively active, even if it is simply sitting in front of the computer writing stuff like this. Okay, maybe sitting in front of the computer working isn't "active," but at least I'm not vegging out in front of the television watching "Springer" or something.

I am pretty hard-core into paintball. An awesome sport that requires a mix of brains and physical ability. I love working with newbies and while I may not be able to let you borrow paint (hey, that stuff's expensive!) I will always help you out with advice, on or off the field, and always covering fire if you ask for it. Just don't ever wipe off a mark and I may even let you get the glory of capturing the flag. For more info, check out Warpig, the definitive source on the Internet for paintball information. Or where I buy almost all my gear, I&I Sports. Special kudos to Glenn and the other folks at the Puente Hills mall location.

I also box recreationally. I'm planning on eventually getting in the ring on an amateur status, but I'm pretty old to be just getting started in boxing; a lot of folks getting started in amateur boxing are more than a decade younger. It is a great full-body workout though and if done with solid intensity, there's nothing better. And just like any other martial art, learning to box properly instills a great deal of confidence that spills over to other areas of your life. Check it out. I also spend time in the gym lifting weights, something I also really love doing. Lift hard or go home!.

Okay, this is a bit sickly sweet, I admit it. But here's a photo of my cat (also coming soon, honest this time!), PJ, who's my best friend in the world. This little guy has helped me through some tough times. But I guess maybe he's paying me back for rescuing him from being at best a feral stray and worst, death. Which is what we think happened to his mother and twin sisters when he was only a few months old. Rescued he was and he's never regretted it; aside from his desire for "walkies" on the weekend, he's become a typical sort of domestic house cat. I could go on and on about PJ, but I won't. Suffice to say he's a spoiled little kitty.

I am a music fanatic; I spend more money on CD's than I really ought to, but I have to have new music nearly all the time. I won't lie and say I listen to almost anything, but my tastes are somewhat diverse. I like Drum'n'Bass, Jungle, Ambient, Alternative Rock, some Pop and some Hip-Hop/Rap. In particular I enjoy folks like Boingo, Lyle Lovett, Tom Waits, Tricky, Ben Folds Five, Moby, Massive Attack, Goldie, David Bowie, the Wu-Tang Clan, Tori Amos and many many others. Gotta give a special "shout out" to two local LA bands though, since I know them personally. Morag, you and your band kick ass; I'm expecting big things from you, Todd and Mike. And Charlie in the Box is fantastic too; I almost never miss a show of either of them. Barry, Todd, Morag and Lex always know that I'll be there, be it a show at Moondog Cafe, the El Rey or a summer barbeque.

I think I've gone on enough about me, at least for now. If you want to know more, drop me an e-mail at [email protected]. I can give you other bands I like, regale you with stories of my cat PJ, discuss weightlifting technique or arrange to meet you on a paintball field. So drop me a line!
